Circa 1900.  26″ replacement nitro barrels, the rib engraved “J. Blanch & Son” 29. GRACECURCH STREET LONDON” and engraved “2” at the breech end. 2 1/2″ (65mm) chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action, gas checks, automatic safety with gold-inlaid “SAFE” detail, nine pin back-action lockplates, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, approximately 80% coverage of border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed bright finish, J Blanch & Son Improved snap bold fore-end release, 14 3/4″ well figured stock including 7/8″ perfectly matched wooden extension and splinter forend. Bores at .730 & .730, minimum wall thickness at .026 and .021.  Cast off for a right hand shot, blank metal oval.  A wonderful handling double gun for hunting and clays.  Weight 6lb 5oz.
